Skyline Village Inn Gift Store

Located adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 331, the historic Skyline Inn was built by John M Greer in the side of the mountain at the entrance to a cavern, where a moonshine still was located. Construction began in 1942 and was completed in 1948 financed by the moonshine money. Mr. Greer was a master carpenter and stonemason.

His handiwork is present in the wood paneling, marble floors and wood inlay tables throughout the building. Extensive remodeling has respected Mr. Greer’s vision for this unique property. The hotel has one of the most beautiful views in the North Carolina mountains.

Midway between Boone and Asheville, this is an ideal spot from which to visit and roam the mountains. Close to hiking, gem mining, and a wonderful starting point for many motorcycle riding loops, including the infamous DIAMONDBACK!

Switzerland General Store

Switzerland General Store is open every day from 10 to 5:30. Drop on by for picnic items, beer, wine, souvenir tees, and much more!.

The Switzerland General Store, established in 1927 has served as the social center of our village for as long as anybody can remember.  We are located alongside the Switzerland Cafe and across from the Little Switzerland Post Office on Highway 226A - "Downtown".  We offer basic essentials for your trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains such as over the counter medicines, maps, clothing and children's toys, but so much more!

Planning a Blue Ridge Parkway Picnic?  Ahh, we can pack you a yummy Switzerland Cafe lunch complete with sides, and even utensils right down to the corkscrew for that special bottle of wine.

Wine?  Yeah we have a good selection and people brag about our selection of domestic NC Craft beers too!

T-Shirts & souvenirs?  Yup!

Soda, water, firewood and camping basics?  We have everything to make you a happy camper!

Diamondback motorcycle & sports car route gear?  Brummm, Brumm!

Switzerland Inn Trading Company

Everyone loves our Little Switzerland and Diamondback merchandise, so in 2011, the Switzerland Inn opened a brand new shop in the Shops at Little Switzerland. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Switzerland Inn's Little Switzerland Trading Company store features all things Diamondback. Shirts, hats, gear and even our private label wines.

We’ve expanded our line of Little Switzerland apparel and collectibles that will also be featured in our new store. Check out the Little Switzerland Trading Company – our selection of Diamondback (NC226A) and Little Switzerland memorabilia expands with every season.

Trillium Gallery

The Trillium Gallery, established in 1985, features a collection of handmade arts and crafts from local and nationally known artists. We have a large collection of handmade jewelry from award winning artists such as Nancy Fleming, Eric Silva, and Terri Logan and many more.

We are proud to feature the pottery of such artists as Maggie and Freeman Jones, Rob and Beth Mangum, and Sherry and David Hoffman just to name a few. Many collectors of glassware visit us to purchase the work of Prentice Hicks. These funky cups, goblets, martini glasses and champagne flutes are a must see and for many a must have! Susan Hutchinson marries metal and glass to create pieces that would compliment any window.

One of our favorite artists is Rodney Shaw. His relief and freestanding sculptures are quite possibly the pride and joy of this gallery. Not mentioned are many wonderful and talented artists, all are a must see.

The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 9-5. Friday and Saturday 9-7.

We are a seasonal business, open from mid-April through mid- November. We are located directly off the Blue Ridge Parkway between Asheville and Boone at milepost 334 in Little Switzerland, directly across from the lovely Switzerland Inn.
